Utoo Radio with Other News Sources - April 1 2025 - Manitoba's Premier Wab Kinew announced a pilot project to translate legislature transcripts into seven Indigenous languages, starting with Hansard transcripts into Aninishinaabemowin.

The project aims to generate Indigenous language text for language learners, teachers, and AI researchers.

The pilot will begin this spring and involve hiring two Indigenous translators.

If successful, it could expand to translating other government documents.
