Utoo Radio with Other News Sources - July 15, 2024 - Canada's Crown-Indigenous Relations minister, Gary Anandasangaree, is set to deliver an apology to nine First Nations in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, following decades of labeling the Dakota and Lakota as refugees.

The apology, deemed "historic," will be delivered at Whitecap Dakota Nation, which signed a self-government agreement with Canada in 2023, officially recognizing them as Aboriginal Peoples under the Constitution and allowing them to make laws on-reserve.
