Utoo Radio with Other News Sources - June 6 2025 - The Assembly of First Nations is set to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the implications of proposed federal legislation that would expedite approvals for major projects.

National Chief Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak met with Prime Minister Mark Carney about the bill, calling it "disheartening" and expressing concerns about the potential impact on consultations with Indigenous Peoples.

The meeting will also involve the Assembly's executive committee discussing strategy and potential legal implications.
