Utoo Radio with Other News Sources, June 25, 2024 - TikTok has honoured Vanessa Brousseau, an Indigenous content maker from North Bay, Ontario, in honour of National Indigenous History Month.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Brousseau first used TikTok to watch other people's videos, but she soon started making her own.

She has spoken out for Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people who have gone missing or been killed, and she has asked governments and cops to do better.

Red dresses, which have become a sign for Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people who have been killed or gone missing, are often used in her art.

Brousseau has made friends with Indigenous people and partners from all over the world through TikTok. These friends come from places like Ireland, Finland, Australia, and New Zealand.

Indigenous Visionary Voices was created by TikTok Canada to show how the Indigenous community and creators on the site have made a difference.
