Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Minister Gary Anandasangaree and Indigenous Services Minister Patty Hajdu remain in their positions, while Indigenous groups are congratulating Prime Minister Mark Carney on his new government.
Indigenous leaders are looking to the next government to continue the work started by the previous government, including implementing calls from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the national inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, and closing the infrastructure gap.
